Labyrinth Response

Date:

Dear (Organization or Contact Person at Newspaper):

After the devastating effects of XXX (name here, i.e.: Hurricane Katrina) many people in the XXX (i.e.: USA) and around the globe are looking for forms of aid, consolation, and ways to assist in the rescue work, even from far away. The labyrinth is one such tool to do this. It is a meditative space for when we are in need and for taking the time to find solace or to re-discover the beauty in everyday forms of life. The labyrinth also provides a structure for community building and gathering together in difficult times.

The Labyrinth & Sea Project: Worldwide Circle of Labyrinths was initially created in response to the 2004 Tsunami as a means to communicate and coordinate the many responses from the labyrinth movement and also as a source of inspiration for all those who wanted to put the labyrinth to service in this situation. People from around the world, from all different background and cultures, participated in creating and walking labyrinths in connection with water as a community making effort to send peace and healing to those in need affected by the devastation of the storms.

The Labyrinth & Sea Project: Worldwide Circle of Labyrinths is in place for anyone who wants to use the labyrinth and water as a means of healing and inspiration for any personal, national, or global event that requires personal or group connection with labyrinths and especially where water is concerned. We invite any who might be interested to visit the website at: www.waterlabyrinths.com

You will find ideas and inspiration for using labyrinths in the inspiration and ceremony section. You will find information on how to make a labyrinth, or how to find a labyrinth near you. There are also several web-links for connecting with the larger labyrinth organizations where events are posted.

I/We are hosting a labyrinth event on (Date).
